GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers put together all facets of their game on Sunday afternoon and defeated the Beloit Snappers 6-1 at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Eric Semmelhack allowed one run over six innings as the starting pitcher. Victor Roache and Parker Berberet each hit homers as part of Wisconsin's eleven hit onslaught and the defense played an errorless game.

Christopher Bostick and Renato Nunez got Beloit (65-47 overall, 22-20 second half) on the scoreboard first. Bostick started the top of the fourth inning with a triple. Nunez followed with a sacrifice fly to drive in Bostick.

Wisconsin (46-61, 17-25) came back with a two out rally in the bottom of the fourth. Max Walla singled with two out and none on the get Chris McFarland to the plate. McFarland lined a triple into the corner in right to drive in Walla to tie the game.

Michael Reed drew a one out walk in the Wisconsin half of the fifth inning and was at second base with two outs. Then, Roache smacked a double to left-center to send Reed home and the Rattlers were up 2-1.

Semmelhack worked around a one out double in the top of the sixth inning and ended his day with the Rattlers in front. He didn't walk a batter, struck out one, gave up five hits, and was in position to pick up his first win since April 25.

Taylor Wall came out of the bullpen in the top of the seventh inning and worked a perfect frame to maintain the one run advantage. Then, Roache and Berberet gave Wall some breathing room in the bottom of the seventh.

Mike Garza started the rally with a one out single. Roache was next and he crushed a 1-1 pitch from Vincent Voiro over the scoreboard in left-center field for a two-run home run. That was the seventeenth home run of the season for Roache. It also gave him three RBI for the day and 61 runs batted in for the season.

Garrett Cooper followed the home run by Roache with a single. Berberet followed with a line drive home run over the wall in left field for his seventh home run of the season and a 6-1 lead. Berberet's tater also extended his current hitting streak to nineteen games. He has tied Chadwin Stang for the third longest hitting streak in Timber Rattlers history.

Wall would retire the Snappers in order in the eighth, but Beloit loaded the bases with one out in the top of the ninth. Then, Wall got Nick Rickles to ground into a game-ending 1-2-3 double play.

The Rattlers host game three of the series Monday night. Tyler Wagner (8-8, 3.48) is the scheduled starting pitcher for Wisconsin. Beloit has Dakota Bacus (9-4, 3.86) on the bump. Game time is 7:05pm.
