Bradley Named Southern League Pitcher of the Week

MOBILE, AL - BayBears starting pitcher Archie Bradley was named the Southern League Pitcher of the Week for July 29th - August 5th. Bradley threw his first career 9-inning complete game on Friday, August 2nd in a 5-1 win over the Jackson Generals in Mobile.

The Muskogee, Oklahoma native gave up no earned runs on six hits with seven strikeouts. The Generals one run came in the 8th inning off of a fielding error. Bradley has started 21 games this season (16 for Mobile, 5 for Visalia) and is 9-6 with a 1.88 ERA. 7 of his wins have come with Mobile, where the 20 year-old has a 2.06 ERA in 96.0 inning pitched with 90 strikeouts.

In three professional seasons, Bradley has a 2.88 ERA in 50 games (49 starts) with 289 strikeouts and 138 walks in 262.2 innings pitched. The right-hander was drafted 7th overall in the 2011 June Amateur Draft.

This is his third pitcher of the week honor of the season, as he previously won the award for the week of April 4-14 with Visalia, and the week of May 13-19 with Mobile.
