08/11/2013 2:07 PM ET

Left-handed pitcher Onelki Garcia joins the Albuquerque Isotopes today, August 11, from Double-A Chattanooga. In a corresponding move, southpaw Rob Rasmussen was sent to Chattanooga.

Garcia, 24, is making his first appearance on a Triple-A roster in his first full season of professional baseball. He was selected by the Dodgers in the third round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft. He is 2-3 with a save and a 2.75 ERA (16 ER/52.1 IP) this season with the Lookouts. The southpaw has appeared in 25 games and started six. He is holding opponents to a .215 average (41-for-191) and has 53 strikeouts.

In 2012, Garcia made one start with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga firing two perfect innings and striking out four hitters. He also pitched in a playoff game for the Lookouts.

Rasmussen made his first trip to Triple-A when he joined the Isotopes on June 7 from Chattanooga. The 24-year-old went 0-7 in 12 games, 10 starts, with the Isotopes. He tallied a 6.46 ERA (39 ER/54.1 IP) and amassed 37 strikeouts.

The Isotopes and Rainiers conclude their only series of the 2013 regular season today at 1:35 PM MDT. Right-handed Red Patterson (6-4, 3.43) will be opposed by the Rainiers' righty Blake Beavan (4-4, 5.16). Catch all of the game action on 610 AM "The Sports Animal" with Josh Suchon on the call.
