Cutters Fall In 11
Hiciano Drills His 7th

WILLIAMSPORT - After a 90 minute rain delay, the Cutters and Spikes needed extra innings to decide the final game of the three, 4-3 in favor of the Spikes.

After three scoreless innings in State College, Williamsport's Samuel Hiciano put the Cutters on the scoreboard with a monster blast well over the the left field fence off of starter Willy Paulino to make it 1-0 Williamsport. It was Hiciano's 7th home run.

David Washington answered in the bottom of the 4th inning with his 10th home run of the season to tie the game at 1-1 against starter Drew Anderson. The blast gave Washington 44 RBI on the season.

Williamsport wouldn't get a hit in the 6th inning but would take a 3-1 lead. Andrew Knapp would plate the first run on a pass ball to make it 2-1 Cutters. Later in the inning, Sam Dove would draw a bases loaded walk to plate Zach Green to give the Cutters the two run advantage.

In the bottom of the 6th inning State College would draw even against relief pitcher Felix Santos. Carson Kelly got the scoring started with an RBI single that plated Ronald Castillo to make it a 3-2 deficit. Luke Voit would tie the game with an RBI single to plate Kelly and make it 3-3.

Jimmy Bosco would give the Spikes a walk-off victory with a RBI single in the bottom of the 11th inning off of Josh Warner to plate Carson Kelly from 3rd base and give the Spikes a 4-3 win in extras.

Cutters Carvings: The Cutters were out hit 13-4 in the game… Williamsport did not commit an error in the game… State College wins the Sawbuck 2013 series…
