SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants unveiled their 2014 schedule today. The 27th season of the San Jose Giants affiliation with the San Francisco Giants will begin on Thursday, April 3 at Rancho Cucamonga with the home opener set for Thursday, April 10 against the Bakersfield Blaze. The Opening Night Extravaganza will include a postgame fireworks show, 2014 magnet schedule giveaway and much, much more.
The San Jose Giants 70 home game schedule is anticipated to include the return of fan favorite theme nights such as Star Wars Night, Breast Cancer Awareness Night, A Giant Luau and Italian Night, while other new events are also expected. The Giants will host games at Municipal Stadium on Mother's Day (May 11), Memorial Day (May 26), and Independence Day (July 4).

The First Half North Division Champion San Jose Giants are in the California League playoffs for a record 10th consecutive season. The team begins their final 2013 regular season homestand at Municipal Stadium tonight. The team will host the Visalia Rawhide for three games before concluding the regular season with a four-game series against the Inland Empire 66ers. Wednesday, August 28, Amy Gutierrez will be at the ballpark signing her new children's book "Smarty Marty's Got Game". Then, on Thursday, August 29 fans will want to come to the ballpark early to receive rally towels given out to the first 500 fans for the San Jose Giants Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon Night. Another book signing comes to Municipal Stadium on Friday, August 30 as well-known KNBR sports radio personality Brian Murphy and acclaimed Major League Baseball photographer Brad Mangin will be at the ballpark selling and signing their book "Never.Say.Die.". In addition, wear your college gear Friday to receive two free future game tickets. The action-packed homestand continues Saturday, August 31 for the sixth annual Italian Night presented by Sons of Sicily Aiuto Foundation. Fans can come to the ballpark to enjoy a night of Italian culture filled with food, music, raffles as well as a special Italian Hat Giveaway to the first 1,000 fans courtesy of Country Club Villa Apartments and Battaglia Ranch Tree Farm.
