FRISCO, TEXAS (AUGUST 29, 2013) -The Frisco RoughRiders fell to the Corpus Christi Hooks 6-2 Thursday at Dr Pepper Ballpark in game three of the series. The 'Riders' winning streak ends at three games. 

Michael Burgess led off the second with a double to right field, and advanced to third on a groundout. The Hooks (39-27, 810-55) to the lead off a single by Ronny Torreyes to center, scoring the run. In the fourth, Jiovanni Miers walked and then Torreyes knocked a double RBI to left-center, extending the lead 2-0.

With one out in the fourth, Ryan Rua walked and then advanced to second on a balk. Tomas Telis then knocked a single RBI to shallow center. Telis stole second and later in the frame, Ryan Strausborger singled in the run as the 'Riders (28-38, 67-69) tied it up at two.

Corpus reclaimed the lead in the fifth. Domingo Santana singled to center and Jonathan Meyer singled to right, bringing Snatana to third. Matt Duffy then hit a single RBI. Burgess grounded out, advancing the runners, and then Mier singled bringing in the two runs. Corpus added another run in the sixth off a double by Enrique Hernandez, extending their lead 6-2.

Ruben Alaniz (8-9) allowed two runs on four hits in six innings with three strikeouts to earn the victory, while Alex Claudio allowed three runs on four hits in one inning to suffer the loss. 

The 'Riders conclude their final home stand of the season, and their season series with the Corpus Christi Hooks Friday at 7:05 p.m. at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Rangers starting pitcher Nick Tepesch (0-0, 4.50 ERA) makes his second rehab start for the RoughRiders. The Hooks will counter with Nick Tropeano (7-9, 4.06 ERA).
