KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (Sept. 2, 2013) -- Jacob May made the end of his first professional season a memorable one.

With two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning, the White Sox third round pick lined the first pitch he saw over the left field wall for a walk off home run (8) as the Kannapolis Intimidators dropped the Hagerstown Suns, 4-3 (F/10), on Monday at CMC-NorthEast Stadium in the final game of the 2013 season. Kannapolis earned a series win over the playoff-bound Suns, winning the final three games of the campaign.

May finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBI as Kannapolis completed a come-from-behind win.

The Suns led 3-0 heading to the bottom of the eighth. Mike Marjama led off the inning with a double and later scored on an Eric Grabe fielders choice. Grabe crossed the plate on May's two-out single, and Cleuluis Rondon scored the tying run when Suns third baseman Mike McQuillan couldn't handle a Tim Anderson ground ball.

Stew Brase spun scoreless ninth and 10th innings for the relief win. Brase (3-2), who converted from an over-the-top pitcher to a side-armer this spring, retired the final six batters he faced, including four strikeouts, to dim the Suns.

Kannapolis starter Tony Bucciferro logged one final quality start, working 6.0 innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits with four strikeouts in a no decision. Andre Wheeler worked 2.0 relief innings, allowing a run on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

Suns reliever Christian Meza (3-1) took the loss, working 2/3 of an inning. He was the sixth different Hagerstown pitcher to take the mound in the game.
