Spikes home Wednesday for Game 2 of NYPL Finals!

State College to host Tri-City in Game 2 of NYPL Championship Series
September 9, 2013

The State College Spikes come back to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. to continue their quest for the New York-Penn League title as they face the Tri-City ValleyCats (Houston Astros) in Game Two of the NYPL Championship Series.

The Spikes hold home-field advantage in the best-of-three series thanks to holding the league's best regular season record, and will also host Game Three, if necessary, on Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Ballpark gates will open at 6 p.m. both nights for the general public.

The schedule for the series is as follows:

Game 1 (Tuesday, Sept. 10) - Spikes at Tri-City, 7:00 p.m.

Game 2 (Wedneday, Sept. 11) - Tri-City at Spikes, 7:05 p.m.

Game 3 (Thursday, Sept. 12) - Tri-City at Spikes, 7:05 p.m.

The Spikes are making their first trip to the NYPL Championship Series. Tri-City won the 2010 league title and fell to Hudson Valley in last year's championship series.
