The Nashville Sounds are excited to announce the 2014 promotional calendar, which includes 22 fireworks extravaganzas and several giveaways commemorating the team's final year at Greer Stadium. The calendar also includes 11 Throwback Thursdays presented by The Tennessean, six Trevecca Nazarene University FAITH NIGHTS® concerts, the return of the Famous San Diego Chicken, and much more!

A total of 22 fireworks nights highlight the affordable family-friendly entertainment calendar in 2014, with 11 shows falling on Fridays, 10 on Nashville's News 2 Saturdays, and the team's annual
Independence Day show on July 3 presented by the Nashville International Airport.

The Sounds have 16 giveaway nights scheduled this summer, with five of the items specifically celebrating Greer's 37 years as the Nashville Sounds' home ballpark.

The commemorative giveaway action begins on Opening Night (Friday, April 11), when the first 2,500 fans will receive 2014 magnet schedules featuring Greer's '37 Years of Hits' commemorative mark. The magnets, presented by PPG Porter Paints, will also be distributed to the first 2,500 fans on the following night (April 12).

The Greer-specific giveaways continue with commemorative stadium T-shirts presented by Family Leisure to the first 2,000 fans on May 17; a miniature Greer Stadium replica presented by Coca-Cola to the first 2,000 fans on June 27; a guitar scoreboard snow globe presented by Twice Daily to the first 2,000 fans on July 12; and a vintage 1978-style Sounds bobblehead presented by The Tennessean to the first 2,000 fans on August 8. Fans are invited to help the team celebrate the end of the Sounds tenure on Chestnut Street by using the hashtag #LastCheerAtGreer while visiting the ballpark.

The Famous San Diego Chicken is slated to help us say farewell to Greer Stadium by making a special stop in Nashville on July 24. The nationally recognized entertainer has completed more than 17,000 total appearances across America, including several at Greer throughout the years.

Including the previously mentioned vintage bobblehead, the Sounds will present fans with a total of five bobbleheads over the summer.

The Paint-Your-Own Ozzie Bobblehead, presented by PPG Porter Paints, returns for the third consecutive year. Fans will be given paints and brushes to artistically paint Ozzie and his guitar
however they choose. Fans can then submit a photo of their finished product to the Sounds via email to enter a contest to win prizes in age-range categories.

Also returning in 2014 is the team's popular Bible Bobblehead Series presented by Trevecca Nazarene University, which features the nativity's three wise men. The first wise man bobblehead giveaway will be on Sunday, June 29; the second on Friday, July 11; and the third on Saturday, August 9. Only the first 1,000 fans through the turnstiles each night will receive a bobblehead.
