Preseason Event Slated For April 1
03/20/2014 12:53 PM ET

(Trenton, NJ) After a long cold winter, the Trenton Thunder are happy to announce the first public event of 2014 will be the free "Welcome North Open House" on Tuesday, April 1 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

The annual event will start with the chance to watch the team's first practice of the year in Trenton. Following practice, fans will have the opportunity to meet this year's team and seek autographs for approximately one hour. Concession stands will be open throughout the event. Everything will conclude for the general public at approximately 6:30 PM.

"We're excited to continue the tradition of opening ARM & HAMMER Park early and giving our loyal fans a chance to meet the players," said Thunder General Manager Will Smith. "It's a great opportunity for us to open the ballpark and interact with fans before our first game on April 3."

Members of the Thunder's 90% Club, a group of season ticket holders who attended at least 90% of the team's games last year, will have a special reception in the Yankee Club and Conference Center from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM. The reception will feature a buffet dinner and an approximately 45 minute exclusive "meet and greet" with Thunder team members.
