Cedar Rapids, IA - The Linn County Veterans Affairs Office, Metro Veterans Council and the Cedar Rapids Kernels are pleased to announce that the list of submissions for the upcoming Military Heroes Baseball Card Set has been expanded to include ALL submissions received by the January deadline from the announced limit of 35.

Based on the strong amount of submissions for the inaugural card set, it was decided that this first set should include all nominations submitted. Those that submitted nominations will be contacted by the Cedar Rapids Kernels to verify information and to secure photos for the production of the card set.

The first Military Heroes Baseball Card Set will be given away to the first 1,000 fans through the gates at the Cedar Rapids Kernels game on Friday, July 4th. The nominee or representative from his or her family will receive four tickets to that game, four sets of the cards and be recognized on the field in a ceremony following the game.

Thank you on behalf of the Linn County Veterans Affairs Office, Metro Veterans Council and the Cedar Rapids Kernels for the great number of submissions for this first Military Heroes Card Set.
