Miracle acquired by SJS Beacon Baseball

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- SJS Beacon, a privately held company, is pleased to announce its purchase of the Fort Myers Miracle from the Goldklang Group. The Fort Myers Miracle are the long time Advanced-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins and a member of the Florida State League. The Miracle play their home games at Hammond Stadium, the Spring Training home of the Twins.

"I am excited to acquire the Miracle and have the opportunity to work with the Lee County community and the Minnesota Twins. As a lifelong baseball fan, I hope to build upon the Goldklang Group's outstanding legacy and further enhance both the Miracle's partnership with the Twins and the entire ballpark experience for our fans and customers," stated Jason Hochberg, President of SJS Beacon.

According to Marv Goldklang, Chairman of the Goldklang Group: "The decision to sell the Miracle, which was our first team in Minor League Baseball, was among the most difficult of my years in the game. It was important that the reins be handed to an individual who shares our passion both for what goes on between the lines as well as the customer service principles by which we have lived for the past 25 years. Jason is that person."

Brad Steil, Twins Director of Minor League Operations added, "On behalf of the entire Twins organization, we welcome Jason Hochberg to the organization and look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with him and the Miracle. Our player development agreement has been in place for over 20 years, and the Miracle will continue to run our Spring Training game day operations. We are excited to take the next steps with Jason and the great Miracle staff."

The Goldklang Group will continue to remain involved in helping to manage the Miracle, and Steve Gliner and Andrew Seymour will continue to run the day-to-day operations of the team as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager, respectively.
