ROUND ROCK, Texas - Eric Campbell of the Las Vegas 51s and Nick Tepesch of the Round Rock Express have been named Pacific Coast League Player and Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 21st-27th, the league office announced today.

Eric Campbell hit safely in all five games he played in last week, accumulating a PCL-best 11 hits for a .500 batting average. The utility player took the field at five different positions during week, while producing four doubles, seven RBI, and a .577 on-base percentage at the plate. The six runs he scored brought Campbell's season total to 25, the most for any player in the league. He also ranks second in the PCL with 33 hits on the year for a .351 average. The Connecticut native helped the first-place 51s to a come-from-behind win on April 21st against the El Paso Chihuahuas, when he hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the fifth inning. The following day he compiled four hits and three RBI in Las Vegas' 21-9 victory.

Campbell is in his seventh season in the New York Mets' farm system, since being drafted by the Mets in the eighth round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft out of Boston College. The 27-year-old has now won two Player of the Week awards in his career, with the previous coming in 2010 when he was a member of the St. Lucie Mets in the Florida State League.

Nick Tepesch became the first PCL pitcher to throw a complete-game shutout this season when he tossed nine scoreless frames on April 26th against the Memphis Redbirds. He allowed five hits, no walks, and struck out five during his gem, in which he threw 104 pitches. The win was Tepesch's fourth of the season, tying him for the league lead. The complete-game shutout was the second of his career and the first for a Round Rock pitcher since 2010. The right-hander has pitched a PCL-high 34 2/3 innings this season and has the third best ERA with a 1.82 mark.

Tepesch, 25, was a 14th-round draft selection of the Texas Rangers in 2010 out of the University of Missouri. In his third season of professional baseball, he made his Major League debut with the Rangers on April 9, 2013, earning a win against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Pitcher of the Week award is the third of his career, and his first since 2012 when he was a member of the Frisco RoughRiders in the Texas League.
