Kivlehan earns CAL League player of the week
04/28/2014 7:35 PM ET

High Desert Mavericks infielder, Patrick Kivlehan was the California League offensive player of the week. He was honored for his stellar performance between April 14 and April 20. Kivlehan batted .385/.407/1.077 in six games going 10-for-26, with 1 2B, 1 3B, 5 HR, 9 RBI, 8 R, 1 BB, 3 K. His impressive stats during that week are even more significant considering all six games during the time period were against the Lancaster JetHawks. Lancaster and the High Desert are currently tied for fist place in the Cal League South Division. The teams spit the six-game series each taking away three wins

Kivlehan graduated from Rutgers University in 2012 and then was drafted in 2012 in the 4th round by the Seattle Mariners. Last year he split his time between Clinton and the High Desert.
