Rochester Red Wings pitcher Trevor May has been named the Batavia Downs Gaming and Racetrack Player of the Week for the period of May 26-June 1, and also named International League Pitcher of the Week for the same period.
Over a pair of starts last week, May went 2-0 without allowing an earned run over 12 innings of work, earning victories over Syracuse (Monday) and Gwinnett (Saturday).
Over his last four starts -- all of which have come at Frontier Field - May is 4-0 and hasn't allowed an earned run. The 26-inning streak without yielding an earned run has dropped his ERA from 4.97 on May 7 to 2.62 - 7th best in the IL.
