June 13, 2014

Savannah, Ga.-  The Augusta GreenJackets used three bases-loaded walks to stroll by the Savannah Sand Gnats 5-1 Friday night in front of 2,438 fans at Historic Grayson Stadium.

In the sixth inning of a 1-1 game, Savannah starter Alex Panteliodis left the bases loaded for reliever Dawrin Frias. After striking out the first batter he faced, Frias walked the next three GreenJackets (33-34) to hand Augusta a 4-1 lead.

Augusta RF Tyler Horan's long homerun off Paul Paez to the deep part of the ballpark in right-center field gave the 'Jackets a 5-1 lead in the seventh.

The Gnats (44-21) scored their only run in the fourth inning. DH Jonathan Leroux, who was 2-for-3 with a walk, drilled a solo homerun to right to even the game at 1-1.
