Eugene, OR - The Northwest League has announced the North and South Division rosters for the 2014 Northwest League All-Star Game, which will be held on August 5th at 7:05pm at PK Park. All eight teams in the Northwest League are represented well at this year's All-Star Game, with the North Division featuring eight players from the Spokane Indians, seven players from the Vancouver Canadians, six players from the Everett AquaSox, and four players from the Tri-City Dust Devils. Meanwhile, the South Division roster features seven players from the Hillsboro Hops, six players from the Eugene Emeralds, six players from the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, and six players from the Boise Hawks. AquaSox hitters Cousino, Mariscal, Petty and Martin lead NWL North bats while Pereira and Kerski join the pitching staff for the 2014 Northwest League All-Star Game.

Headlining the North roster is a trio of Spokane Indians - Seth Spivey, Eduard Pinto, and Luke Tendler - that together are first, second, and third respectively in the NWL in batting average. Vancouver Canadians shortstop Franklin Barreto will also bring his league-leading 36 RBIs to Eugene while Indians infielder Jose Trevino will also be headed to the All-Star Game after standing alone atop the league with 8 home runs on the season. Roeman Fields, who has already broken the Vancouver Canadians single-season stolen base record, will also represent the North after currently leading the NWL with 28 stolen bases (next closest is Everett's Austin Cousino, who is also a NWL All-Star as a designated hitter, with 16 stolen bases).

On the pitcher's mound, Helmis Rodriguez and his league leading 2.09 ERA will help anchor a rotation that also includes a pair of young standouts from North of the border, Miguel Castro and Jairo Labourt of the Vancouver Canadians. Scott Firth of the Tri-City Dust Devils makes the team after posting a North Division-leading nine saves thus far on the season, and he'll serve as the backbone of a bullpen that includes Everett's Kody Kerski (1.86 ERA, 24 K's) and Spokane's John Fasola (22 K's, 0.77 WHIP).

Meanwhile, the South Division roster will boast strikeout leader and Hillsboro Hop, Ben Eckels, as well as Volcanoes right-hander Jose Reyes who leads all NWL starting pitchers with a 0.91 WHIP. Zac Curtis of the Hillsboro Hops and his league-leading 10 saves headlines a bullpen that also includes Eury Sanchez of the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, the league-leader in strikeouts amongst relievers (26).

The South Division offense features an arsenal full of multi-talented offensive threats, with Boise's Jeffrey Baez (7 HR, 30 RBI, 16 SB) and Eugene's Marcus Davis (.333 BA, 7 HR, 1.024 OPS) leading the charge. Along with Davis, a trio Volcanoes - Christian Arroyo, Will Callaway, and Trevious "T" Relaford - will anchor the infield, while Baez and fellow Hawks teammate Rashad Crawford will team up with Grant Heyman of the Hillsboro Hops to round out the outfield for the South. Franchy Cordero of the Eugene Emeralds will round things out as he claims the designated hitter spot for the South squad.

The PK Park gates will open at 4pm on Tuesday, August 5th for the All-Star Fan-Fest, which will include live music presented by Pedal Power Music, a two hour autograph session with the Northwest League All-Stars, inflatable games, and fun for all ages. The 2014 Northwest League All-Star Game presented by Northwest Toyota Dealers will get underway at 7:05pm.
