FRISCO, TEXAS (July 30, 2014) - The 'Riders combined for a team one-hitter and shutout Midland 3-0 on Wednesday night in Frisco. Derek Holland pitched two no-hit innings in his first rehab start, Trever Adams hit an inside-the-park homer and Alex Gonzalez threw six innings giving up one hit.

In Holland's first rehabilitation outing since injuring his knee before the start of the season, the lefty pitched two innings and walked two to go along with four strikeouts. He tossed 21 of his 33 pitches for strikes to complete his outing.

Patrick Cantwell picked up the first 'Riders hit in the first with one out but a double play got Midland starter Sean Murphy out of the inning. Frisco notched their first run, however, in the following inning.

Trever Adams smacked a first-pitch fastball into right field and a sliding Jeremy Barfield tried to backhand the ball. The ball took a hop to lift over his glove and continued to roll all the way to the warning track.

Barfield then uncorked a wild throw towards third base allowing skipper Jason Wood to send his runner all the way around the bases for an inside-the-park home run.

The RoughRiders (23-17, 63-46), up 1-0, added two more to the run column in the third frame.

Hanser Alberto sent a leadoff single to left and stole second base to advance into scoring position. The throw from catcher Bruce Maxwell could not be fielded cleanly and rolled into shallow centerfield allowing Alberto to hustle to third.

Jake Skole dropped a texas-leaguer into shallow left to score Alberto to push the lead to 2-0 Frisco.

Chris Grayson sent a sacrifice bunt down the third-base line and ran out the play safely at first, and Cantwell followed that up by sacrificing both men into scoring position. Odubel Herrera grounded out third-to-first, and Skole scored to push the advantage to 3-0 RoughRiders.

Martire Garcia pitched a perfect third inning with 9/13 pitches being strikes and was replaced by Alex Gonzalez who pitched his team all the way into the seventh.

The RockHounds (24-16, 62-48) drew two walks over that stretch and picked up their first hit of the game with two outs in the seventh. The base knock by Dusty Coleman put men on the corners but Gonzalez got Maxwell to ground out to second to end the threat.

Frisco picked up two more hits in the fourth inning and were held without a hit until Teodoro Martinez lined a single into center field to lead off the home half of the seventh.

Alberto grounded into a fielder's choice to reach first and quickly stole second and third base, which were his second and third steals of the game, to advance 90 feet away from making it 4-0 'Riders. However, a strikeout of Skole and a Chris Grayson ground out got Midland out of the inning.

Frisco had another opportunity to bust the game wide open when consecutive singles and a walk loaded the bases, but a J.T. Wise fielder's choice ended the threat.

Gonzalez trotted out to the mound to finish off the ballgame and did so with a perfect frame.

Frisco held the RockHounds to one hit and played clean defense without allowing an error and earned a much-needed win in a close divisional race against visiting Midland.

The RoughRiders depart for a four-game set against the San Antonio Missions. The first game of the series is Thursday at 7:05 at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. Right-hander Alec Asher (8-9, 3.63 ERA) gets the ball and will pitch against fellow righty Joe Ross (1-0, 2.77 ERA).
