BINGHAMTON, NY - The Binghamton Mets collected 15 hits in 5-1 victory over the Akron RubberDucks, on Saturday night at NYSEG Stadium. The team has 71 hits in their last five games. Juan Centeno went 4-for-4 with a run and two RBI in the victory.

Akron got on the board first against Greg Peavey. In the second inning, Justin Toole tagged a one-out single and moved to second on a walk. He came around to score on a Erik Gonzalez RBI single to make the score 1-0 RubberDucks.

Binghamton got the run right back in the bottom of the frame. Darrell Ceciliani led off with a single against Duke von Schamann. He moved to second on a base knock by T.J. Rivera. Juan Centeno came through with a hit to plate Ceciliani and tie the game at one.

The B-Mets took the lead for good in the third. Dilson Herrera walked and stole second base. The throw from catcher Jake Lowery sailed into centerfield, allowing Herrera to go to third base. The center fielder, Ollie Linton then air-mailed a toss over third base that brought Herrera across the plate for the 2-1 Binghamton lead.

That score was extended in the fifth. With two outs, Jayce Boyd singled. He stole second and moved to third on an error by Ronny Rodriguez at second base. Ceciliani walked to put runners on the corners for Rivera. He and Centeno hit back-to-back singles to each score a runner for the 4-1 B-Mets lead.

The team added one more insurance run in the eighth against Adam Miller. Centeno tallied his fourth hit of the day with one out. He moved to second on a Kyle Johnson single. Brandon Nimmo came through with a hit up the middle bring Centeno home for the 5-1 advantage.
