Generals Unveil Star Wars Night Jerseys

R2-D2 and C3PO will be featured on team's May 2 uniforms

Jackson, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals unveiled their special Star Wars Night jerseys for the team's May 2 contest against Pensacola on Friday. The jerseys feature C3P0 and R2-D2 on the desert planet Tatooine.

Following a popular trend in Minor League Baseball, the Generals are continuing the tradition of celebrating the popular George Lucas movies. After the game, the game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the Children's Miracle Network.

The jerseys are just a part of a Star Wars-themed night. Everyone's favorite characters from the movie franchise are sure to be in attendance, and the game will feature a number of promotions from a galaxy far, far away.

After the game, fans will be treated to a special fireworks display thanks to the Jackson Energy Authority. It is the second of Jackson's 12 fireworks shows this year. The team's first display is on Friday after the Generals' game against Mississippi on Educators Appreciation Night presented by the University of Memphis.
