2015 Promotional Schedule Released!

May 27, 2015

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Dinosaurs. Vampires. Fire Trucks. Free Money. Those are just a few of the things you can expect to see at Cardinal Park in 2015.

With the season approaching quickly, the Johnson City Cardinals are excited to announce their official Promotional Schedule, highlighted by such events as Jurassic World Night, Teachers in the Bleachers, Free Money Friday, History & Hero Night and Vampire Appreciation Night!

"Last season we were able to add some new things to the atmosphere at Cardinal Park, and this season we are going to build off those and add in some crazy twists," added GM Tyler Parsons. "We are always striving to improve the fan experience here, and fans are really going to enjoy this year's promotions.

The 2015 season will also see the introduction of several new weekly promotions. Fans should be prepared to rock out every Tuesday, as Campbell's Music Tuneful Tuesday's make their debut. Every Tuesday will feature live music in the concourse before the game, with local artists being showcased. Hooter's Wing Wednesday's will feature special coupons, wing eating contests and wild promotions. And also making a debut in 2015 will be Old South Thirsty Thursday's. Every Thursday fans will be treated to $2 beer specials at Cardinal Park, and at Old South following the game!

The first Old South Thirsty Thursday will kick off the 2015 season, as it's scheduled for the home opener on June 25th!

While the Cardinals season starts in late June, there will still be plenty of action in the month. June 26th will feature the annual Bark in the Park game, while June 27th will be one of the biggest promotions of the year with Jurassic World Night! The Cardinals will wear special T-Rex themed jerseys and Cardinal Park will get prehistoric as we pay tribute to the summer blockbuster from Universal Studios.

Sunday, June 28th will see the return of one of Johnson City's favorite promotions, as the Cardinals team up with 88.3 WCQR for their Faith and Family Concert. This year's artist will be nationally acclaimed solo artist Blanca, who is fresh off the Winter Jam tour.

The month of July will start off with a bang…literally as the Cardinals host their Fourth of July Fireworks show on July 3rd!

Bank of Tennessee Dollar Monday's are also back by popular demand, with the first one scheduled for July 6th. General Admission tickets, hot dogs, chips, candy, soda and popcorn will each be just $1 on every Monday, returning one of the best deals in baseball! But July 6th will get even bigger, as it's also Vampire Appreciation Night, the Chamber of Commerce's Centennial Celebration and Boys and Girls Club Night!

July will be full of crazy promotions, starting with Free Money Friday on July 17th. Just as it sounds, the first 500 fans inside the park will receive an envelope with various amounts of cash inside! While everyone enjoys receiving free money, getting candy can be just as awesome! Halloween Night is introduced on July 23rd, with trick or treating in the ballpark and costume contests!

Salute to Science Night will return on July 31st, as the Cardinals will once again partner with Hands On! Regional Museum to bring a multitude of science experiments and demonstrations to the ballpark. You might even see a rocket get launched in the outfield before the game!

The month of August will feature several tremendous promotions as well, including History and Hero Night on August 3rd where selected members of the area will be honored as "Heroes" for their past and present influence on the Johnson City community.

Another amazing fireworks show is scheduled for August 15th, in what will also be Scout Night!

August 27th will be High Five Record Night as Cardinals GM Tyler Parsons attempts to break the Guinness Book of World Record's record for most high fives in one hour, currently set at 2,181!

One of the seasons highlight promotions will take place on August 28th, with the first Teachers in the Bleachers Night! Select teachers in Washington County will be honored throughout the game and trading cards featuring all of them will be given out to fans!

The Cardinals will close out the season with their second annual For Our Fans Night on September 1st, where each and every fan will receive a complimentary ticket courtesy of the Cardinals sponsors, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a free hot dog, chips and soda!

The Johnson City Cardinals will begin their 2015 home season on Thursday, June 25th when they take on the Kingsport Mets.
