Three Generals hurlers combine on three-hitter in front of 4,951
August 29, 2015

Jackson, Tenn. - Misael Siverio, Kyle Hunter and Paul Fry combined to allow just three hits in a 4-0 shutout victory for Jackson over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in front of 4,951 on SEC Night at The Ballpark at Jackson Saturday. The win was the Generals' tenth in shutout fashion and it was the fifth time this season the team had allowed three hits or fewer.

Cuban southpaw Misael Siverio (5-11, 4.16) tossed six scoreless frames, allowing just one hit while striking out five and walking four in the contest. He has pitched six shutout innings in three of his last four outings for the Generals.

Jackson (19-42, 48-81) got timely offense from Jordy Lara and Jabari Henry in the victory. Jackson got on the board in the fourth inning on a Jordy Lara double down the left-field line that scored Tyler Smith from first base. Smith reached earlier in the inning via a walk to extend his on-base streak to 23 games.

The Generals added to their lead with two more runs off of Pensacola's Sal Romano (0-4, 12.50) in the fifth inning. Jabari Henry followed Zach Shank's one-out double with a two-run blast to left-center. The 404-foot home run was Henry's sixth in the month of August and his ninth of the season.

Lara gave Jackson an insurance run in the eighth inning against reliever Kyle McMyne. Tyler Bortnick led off the inning with a single and later came home on a Lara base hit to right to make it 4-0. The slugger leads Jackson with 46 RBIs on the season.

Kyle Hunter and Paul Fry combined to pitch the final three innings without allowing a run. Both allowed just one hit, and Fry struck out Reds' prospects Jesse Winker and Phillip Ervin in the ninth to end it. The lefty lowered his ERA to 2.11, and he now has 36 strikeouts and just five walks in 21.1 innings of work.

Jackson will try to take the series lead Sunday in the team's first day game since July 13. South African right-hander Dylan Unsworth (2-7, 5.10) will square off with Pensacola's Tim Adleman (9-8, 2.12) who boasts the best ERA in the Southern League.
