Hall, Freeman Named Assistant GM

Jackson, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals promoted a pair of staff members from within on Thursday, naming both Nick Hall and Chris Freeman Assistant General Managers of the organization. Hall will be the Assistant General Manager of Game Operations, while Freeman will be the Assistant General Manager of Sales.

"Chris and Nick are both very important to the Jackson Generals and the direction we are going in as an organization," General Manager Jason Compton said. "They have both worked very hard and are deserving of this promotion. I am very excited about our future, and Chris and Nick are big reason for that."

Hall just finished his sixth season with the organization and his second as the Manager of Merchandise and Promotions. He started as an intern for the team before earning a full-time position. Over the past two seasons, Hall has been in charge of the team's merchandise in the Generals Store and online in addition to his duties as on-field emcee and developing in-game promotions.

After going to high school in Jackson, Hall attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management.

Freeman recently completed his second season as Manager of Group Sales for the Generals. He coordinates group outings at The Ballpark at Jackson, including picnics, birthday parties, luxury suites and more. He is an integral part of connecting the Generals with a number of major organizations in Jackson. In addition, he is an active member of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce as an ambassador.

Prior to his time with the Generals, Freeman spent time as an intern with the Batavia Muckdogs of the New York-Penn League, the Walt Disney World College Program and the Double-A Midland RockHounds of the Texas League. The Batavia, New York native went to St. Bonaventure University in upstate New York with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.
