Reed, Reyes highlight AFL Fall Stars rosters

If you thought the end of the World Series signaled the end of high-quality baseball, the Arizona Fall League is here to remind you that the sport is ongoing, and for one night, some of the game's best young stars will all be in one place.

The AFL has announced the East and West Division rosters for the 10th annual Fall Stars Game, which will take place this Saturday (Nov. 7) at 8:08 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on MLB Network and MLB.com.

The East roster is particularly top-heavy with four representatives from MLB.com's list of top-100 overall prospects with Indians outfielder Clint Frazier, Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia, Rays infielder Daniel Robertson and Mets first baseman Dominic Smith included. That being said, the most impressive among the group representing the East this Fall League campaign has been Giants No. 2 prospect Christian Arroyo, who is hitting .439 with three homers and a 1.210 OPS in 10 games with Scottsdale.

The West is not wanting for top talent either with top-100 representatives in Cardinals right-hander Alex Reyes, Astros first baseman A.J. Reed and Pirates outfielder Austin Meadows. Yankees backstop Gary Sanchez earned his place by leading the Fall League with six homers, an .875 slugging percentage and a 1.287 OPS through 11 games with Surprise.

Three players from each division have also been chosen as candidates for the fans' Final Vote competition.

Since the first Fall Stars Game in 2006, players like Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, Buster Posey, Andrew McCutchen and Stephen Strasburg have all participated. Last year's exhibition alone featured a record-tying six future Major Leaguers in Greg Bird, Trevor Gott, Francisco Lindor, Jace Peterson, Eddie Rosario and Corey Seager.
