New General Manager is named for the Suns

Travis Painter is named new General Manager for the Hagerstown Suns

March 7, 2016 - Hagerstown, Md -   Bruce Quinn, owner of the Hagerstown Suns, has given Travis Painter the nod to take the helm for 2016 and beyond.

Previously, Painter was the assistant General Manager for the Quad City Bandits in Davenport, LA. During his time with the Quad City River Bandits, Travis set many records for the organization. Most importantly, Travis helped to increase average attendance to 3,885 in 2014 and 3,906 in 2015; a new record since ballpark renovations in 2He also helped to increase the teams community involvement over the two years.

One of the main goals the Hagerstown Suns have for this year, and the years to come, is to keep things local and Travis Painter keeps inline with that goal, hailing from Luray, VA. Travis attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA where he received a degree in sports management and business. Travis said "It's nice to be back within an hour from where I grew up." Travis continued on to say, in regards to his new position here in Hagerstown "I'm excited for the opportunity and look forward to reengaging the community with the ball club."
