Bristol Pirates Announce 2016 Promo Schedule

The Bristol Pirates are excited to announce another great lineup of promotions for the 2016 campaign. The promotional schedule features giveaways, awareness nights and family fun as the Pirates call Bristol home for the third season.

Throughout the entire season, the Bristol Pirates and the FDA will be teaming up to raise awareness on smokeless tobacco by having special announcements and activities to help adults and kids remain smokeless free.

Bristol kicks off its season on the road against the Bluefield Blue Jays, but return home on June 26 for our first game with first pitch slated for 6:00 PM. The first game of the year will feature our traditional Gospel Sunday with artists to be named soon. The Pirates will host five other Gospel Sunday's throughout the year.

On Monday, June 27, the Bristol Pirates will be teaming up with our friends at the Bristol Herlad Courier for our magnetic schedule giveaway with the first 1,000 fans receiving a free magnetic schedule, courtesy of the Bristol Herald Courier.

Are you tired of being left out as the middle child in your family? If the answer is yes, then join us on June 29 as we celebrate the middle child with special games and raising awareness to those that are often sandwiched in the middle.

Friday, July 1 will be our annual fireworks night, sponsored by our friends at Pepsi! Come early and stay late as fireworks will light up the sky after the Pirates take on the Royals for the final game in the home stand. The Bristol food pantry will also be on site to receive non-perishable food and monetary donations.

When the team returns home on July 6, the Pirates will be hosting their first ever ladies' night at the ballpark! The first 100 ladies through the gate will receive a special gift!

July 16 will be our annual merchants' night at the ballpark! We will have dozens of prizes to win with the purchase of a $2 program as you enter the stadium! Area merchants around the Tri-Cities will have tickets available for the game. Check back later on for a complete list of area merchants.

Keen Promotions will be sponsoring our July 19 matchup with the Bluefield Blue Jays. The first 500 fans through the gate will receive a special prize, courtesy of our friends at Keen Promotions!

Keeping with giveaways, our friends at Food City will be sponsoring our game on July 28 as the first 100 fans through the gate will receive a special gift from Food City!

The next night, we will be having our annual scout camp out night. All scouts and their fellow troop are encouraged to attend the game and stay on the field overnight for a campout! Details are to come, so stay tuned for more information.

Looking into August, the Bristol Pirates will help kick off the 2016 Olympics by hosting our first ever Olympic Night at the ballpark! Come ready to compete as we have special activities and games throughout the night as we celebrate the Bristol Pirates Olympics!

New for this year, the Bristol Pirates will be hosting Taste of Bristol Night. Local restaurants from the Bristol and surrounding areas will be on hand to provide samples of their cuisine! This will be a specially ticketed event, so check back soon for more information!

Back for another season, bark in the park is always a tail-waggin' time at Boyce Cox Field! On August 16, you can bring your four-legged friends out to the game and enjoy America's Pastime with your furry friend!

Bristol is well known for baseball, but right down the road is the Last Great Colosseum, Bristol Motor Speedway! On Thursday, August 18, the Bristol Pirates will play a special 5:30 PM game and right after the game, NASCAR car haulers will head down the street right after the game for your enjoyment.

With the big race in town, we're offering you the chance to get the best of both worlds! On Saturday, August 20, the Pirates will be playing a noon game so that you can watch baseball and head down the road to Bristol Motor Speedway!

Finishing up the highlights for the promotional schedule, our annual fan appreciation night is our way to say thank you to our loyal fans! As our way to say thank you, all fans coming to the game will receive free admittance to the game and we will also be giving out all of our remaining prizes with the purchase of a program!
