Pair of Wrestling Legends to Appear for Pro Wrestling Night, July 14

GENEVA, Ill. - The Kane County Cougars welcome a pair of professional wrestling legends to Fifth Third Bank Ballpark for Pro Wrestling Night on Thursday, July 14. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. against the West Michigan Whitecaps.

The night will feature appearances by Mick Foley and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. Each wrestler will throw out a ceremonial first pitch at approximately 6:15 p.m. as well as participate in an autograph signing that will take place from approximately 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on the center field deck. There will be a $2 charge per autograph with a limit of two autographs per person. Fans will need to provide their own items to be autographed and no posed photographs will be allowed in order to accommodate as many people through the line as possible during the allotted time frame.

Mick Foley is a former professional wrestler, who operated under the name Cactus Jack for the first 11 years of his career with the Continental Wrestling Association, World Class Championship Wrestling, and Tri-State Wrestling. In 1995 he won the 'King of the Deathmatch' tournament in Yokohama, Japan before rising to WWE fame in the late 90's. Known then by fans as the character 'Mankind', Foley captured three WWE championships throughout the remainder of his career. He is currently represented by Innovative Artists.

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, one of the most well-known professional wrestlers of the late 80's and early 90's, originally operated under his birth name Rick Blood as a member of the American Wrestling Association and as Ricky Steamboat with the National Wrestling Alliance, before adopting "The Dragon" nickname in 1985 after joining the World Wrestling Federation. During his time with the WWE, he captured an Intercontinental Championship and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2009.

Pro Wrestling Night will also feature Thirsty Thursday specials, presented by Miller Lite, with select beers, small sodas and hot dogs available for $1. Following the game, fans will be treated to a spectacular WWE-themed fireworks show plus run the bases.
