Rodriguez, 21, slashed .417/.417/.708 for the week to go with seven RBI and four extra base hits.

During his weekly heroics, Rodriguez factored into one of the biggest nights offensively for the Intimidators in years. He collected three hits during Kannapolis 16-3 win at Delmarva on Tuesday, July 26. The Intimidators set a season high for runs, 16, hits, 24, and home runs, four. In the second inning of the game, Rodriguez smashed his fourth home run of the year.

When the Intimidators returned home Rodriguez continued to hit, pacing the offense in a 6-2 win over the North Division rival Greensboro Grasshoppers on Friday, July 29. The outfielder factored into both Intimidators rallies driving in three runs in a 2-for-4 night at the plate.

The Dominican native was signed by the Chicago White Sox on June 10, 2012 as an international free agent and has been with Kannapolis since opening day. This season the Intimidators outfielder has had 21 multi-hit games, third most on the team, and tallied three of them during his six game stretch that has earned him his first Sally League Player of the Week honors.

Rodriguez is the second Intimidators player to win the award this season, joining Tanner Banks who earned Pitcher of the Week honors for April 18-24. Banks has since been promoted to High A Winston-Salem.

The Intimidators are in action at home tonight welcoming the Charleston RiverDogs (New York Yankees) to Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System. Monday's game is a Belly Buster Monday featuring all-you-can-eat for only $10 (some exclusions apply).
