Royals and Braves Suspended Tuesday

Power outage halts game with one out in the bottom of the eighth

DANVILLE, VA.- Tuesday's ballgame between the Burlington Royals and Danville Braves was suspended due to a power outage at Dan Daniel Park. The Royals were leading 4-1 with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, with two runners on base for Danville.

The game will be completed on Tuesday, August 30 at 5:00 p.m. The completion will be followed by a full nine-inning, regularly scheduled game.

The Royals will be off on Wednesday before returning home Thursday to open a six-game homestand, the last of the season. Burlington will face the Elizabethton Twins on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. from Burlington Athletic Stadium. It will be the final Thirsty Thursday of the season, where all Budweiser, Red Oak and Hummin' Bird products are available for just $1 each!
