The Erie SeaWolves, Double-A Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, today release their 2017 season schedule. The SeaWolves open their 23rd season on Thursday, April 6 against the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) at 6:35 p.m.
The 2017 home schedule includes 33 weekend dates and nine Monday Buck Night games (each Monday home game excluding July 3). The schedule also features four UPMC Health Plan Education Days (May 17, 18, 24 & 25) with 11:05 a.m. start times and six mid-week matinee games with 12:05 p.m. start times (April 12 & 26, June 15 & 21 and July 19 & 26).
Night games will start at 6:35 p.m. in April and May and 7:05 p.m. from June through August. Sunday games (with the exception of July 2 at 7:05 p.m.) will begin at 1:35 p.m.
The SeaWolves will host the AA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Altoona Curve, for three series at Jerry Uht Park (April 24-26, May 26-29 and June 30-July 3). The SeaWolves will host the AA affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, the Akron RubberDucks, for two series (July 13-16 and August 25-27).
The SeaWolves will give away 2017 magnet schedules as fans exit the ballpark on Thursday, September 1 thanks to the Crime Victim Center of Erie County. September 1 is the final home game of 2016 and Fan Appreciation Night featuring over $5,000 in prize giveaways.
