(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club is proud to announce its coaching staff in advance of the 2017 season.

Seasoned manager Rich Miller returns to Vancouver after helping the Canadians to its first-ever Northwest League Championship. Joining the Canadians shortly after the midway point of the 2011 season (August 11), Miller would guide Vancouver to a 10-14 (.417) record over the team's final 24 games which saw them advance to the North Division Post-Season. After topping the heavily favoured Eugene Emeralds in a best-of-three series, Vancouver would beat Tri-City in the Northwest League Championship two-games-to-one to claim this city's first ever NWL title. Miller, 66, began his professional career within the New York Mets organization.

Joining Miller are longtime pitching coach Jim Czajkowski (sigh-cow-ski) and veteran hitting coach Dave Pano (pan-oh).

Czajkowski pitched within the Colorado Rockies organization breaking through into the Major Leagues in 1994. He arrived in Vancouver as pitching coach for the Canadians in 2011 and helped Vancouver to three consecutive Northwest League Championships (2011-2013) before advancing to New Hampshire of the Eastern League (Double-A). Czajkowski has coached Aaron Sanchez, Marcus Stroman and Roberto Osuna among many other Toronto Blue Jays arms.

Pano returns for his seventh consecutive season, making him the longest serving coach in Vancouver Canadians history (2011-current). Pano has worked with the likes of Kevin Pillar, Dalton Pompey and Rowdy Tellez during his time in Vancouver. In addition to his duties over the past several years as hitting coach, Pano has also managed twice within the Blue Jays organization in the Appalachian League. Prior to his signing with the Blue Jays organization, Pano was the head coach of Eckerd College (FL).

The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club returns to Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 for the first of 38 action-packed home dates.
