(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - After a successful 2016 season particularly off the field, the Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club chose to promote from within on Monday, offering new titles to a handful of staffers. The most notable would be the advancement of Jeff Holloway to the position of Assistant General Manager, Community Relations & Team Operations. Holloway joins Michael Richardson, Lindsay Scharf, Stephani Ellis, Tracy Wilkins and John Stewart as staff members seeking out new business cards.
Holloway, joined the Canadians in 2010 working with the highly-regarded Sales Internship Program. Shortly after he was brought on full-time, he was given the keys to the C's Social Media platforms and transformed them into some of the best across Minor League Baseball. As well, Holloway became increasingly involved in both Community Relations and eventually Team Operations leaving the Canadians with plenty of reasons to give the native of Toronto his loftiest title to date.
Michael Richardson advances to Director, Sales & Game Day Operations after joining the Canadians in 2011. Lindsay Scharf has been promoted to Manager, Sales & Marketing Services and will work closely with the C's Vice-President, Sales & Marketing Graham Wall.
Both Stephani Ellis and Tracy Wilkins have been promoted to Manager, Sales positions just two seasons after joining the C's. Ellis dabbles in the Canadians Social Media Dept. as well as Community Relations in addition to her sales role while Wilkins has been the organization's point-of-contact for Group Sales including the highly-successful "hey y'all!" Porch.
The final announcement was the elevation of John Stewart to Manager, Stadium & Clubhouse Operations as he combines a pair of key roles within the organization. His duties within the clubhouse come as the recently-departed Glenn Hall moved on after more than a decade with the Canadians.
