Rawhide Announce New Front Office Staff Members
Two New Faces Join Staff to Kick Start 2017 Season

VISALIA, CA - The Visalia Rawhide announced today the addition of two new faces to the club's front office staff. Micolette Pena will join the Rawhide as the Manager of Community Relations and will oversee the club's community appearances and fundraisers. Caitlin Carter will also join the staff as the new Event Coordinator, serving as point person for ballpark events outside of baseball, as well as the continuation of the Play Ball Program.

Peña grew up in Tulare and graduated from Tulare Western in 2011. She went on to attend Fresno State where she received her Bachelor's degree in Sports Administration. After spending several years in the sports and entertainment community of Fresno, working for organizations such as the San Francisco 49ers, Fresno Grizzlies, Fresno Monsters hockey team, she's come back home to the Visalia area.

A native of Exeter, Carter joins the Rawhide staff full-time after having spent the past six months as an intern for the club. She has also spent time studying at California State University, Fresno, where she is pursuing a degree in Communication Studies. Along with her duties at the Rawhide, Carter serves as an Assistant Coach for the College of the Sequoias softball team.

Both Micolette and Caitlin are joining our experienced staff with a vast knowledge of their own, and I'm looking forward to hearing their ideas and getting them involved in our great community!"

Pena and Carter are joining a veteran staff with over 35 years of combined experience:

            - Jill Webb, Director of Sales & Promotions: 3 years

            - James Templeton, Head Groundskeeper: 3 years

            - Vinnie Longo, Director of Broadcast and Media: 3 years

            - Julian Rifkind, Baseball Operations Manager: 2 years

            - Jerry Verastegui, Ballpark Operations Manager: 2 years

The Visalia Rawhide staff has received accolades by their peers in the industry for several years now, the most recent being the 2015 "California League Excellence in Community Service" and 2016 "Esurance Home Field Advantage Award", also representing the California League.

2017 marks the first time that the Rawhide will host the California League All-Star Game in 22 years. Tickets for the 2017 All-Star Game and Fanfest will go on sale on February 1st. The Rawhide will open their season on April 4th, and will host their home opener on April 13th against the Inland Empire 66ers.
