Blue Rocks Announce Hiring of Seasonal Employees
Wilmington Adds Nine to Office Staff

Wilmington, DE- The Wilmington Blue Rocks are excited to announce the hiring of their seasonal employees for the 2017 campaign. Nine young men and women have joined the Blue Rocks' front office, with their responsibilities including ticket sales, community relations, merchandise and broadcasting. Below is a bio for each individual.

Zachary Chatman is in his first season with the Blue Rocks as the Community Affairs Assistant. The 22-year-old is from a small town in Montgomery County called Pennsburg, Pennsylvania. Chatman graduated from Widener University and received a degree in Business Marketing with a minor in Sport Management. He also played four years on the Widener University Pride football team where he was a part of two Middle Atlantic Conference championships. Before joining the Blue Rocks, he worked at both the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies as a part of their game day staff. Zachary enjoys going to sporting events with his friends and family for all Philadelphia teams but his favorites are the Eagles and Phillies. Zach says he is looking forward to start the season with the Wilmington Blue Rocks and to contribute to the great success off the field.

Casey Dehart will be the Merchandise Assistant for the Blue Rocks in her first year with the organization. The 24-year-old is a native of Myerstown, PA and is currently a senior at Full Sail University Online, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing and Media. Casey grew up playing soccer and tennis. She also previously interned at Walt Disney World in the spring of 2016. She enjoys traveling, live music, baseball games, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles at the Linc. Casey says she is looking forward to an exciting season with the Blue Rocks!

Dylan DeSimine is entering his first season with the Blue Rocks as the Web & Creative Services Assistant. Dylan, who hails from South Jersey, received his B.A. from Rowan University last May. Previously, he interned for the Camden Riversharks during their final season in 2015 and spent the 2016 NFL season with the Philadelphia Eagles as the stadium broadcasting intern. During the winter and spring between those positions, he helped produce a documentary about cartoonist Tex Avery for his senior thesis. An avid sports fan and sci-fi fan, Dylan is happy to live in a time where he can hoist world championship banners for the Phillies, Packers, Royals, and Cubs, as well as view new Star Wars and Marvel movies each and every year. Dylan says he is excited to get back into the always dynamic world of Minor League Baseball.

Tommy Kay begins his first season as a Wilmington Blue Rocks Ticket Sales Assistant. The 25 year old is a native of Columbus, NJ and graduated from Temple University in January of 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Recreation Management. Tommy is a fan of all four major sports teams in Philadelphia, and enjoys going to their games. He says he is excited to be working for the Blue Rocks and is looking forward to an exciting season!

Cory Nidoh enters his first season with the Blue Rocks and fourth in Minor League Baseball. During his broadcasting career, the 24-year-old has traveled the length of the East Coast making pit stops in Sanford, Maine and Daytona Beach, FL. Last season, he was the Assistant Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations with the Daytona Tortugas (Class-A Advanced Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) in the Florida State League. There, he provided play-by-play and color commentary for all 70 home games and hosted the pre-game and post-game shows all season long. Nidoh is a proud graduate of East Stroudsburg University (PA) and earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. In his spare time, Nidoh enjoys playing the drums, watching the New York Yankees and Tennessee Titans during their respective seasons and going to the beach.   Born in Clifton, N.J. and raised in Scranton, PA, Nidoh has moved to Delaware County and looks forward to joining the Blue Rocks broadcast booth this season on 89.7 WGLS-FM.

Ted Smallwood will begin his first year as a Wilmington Blue Rocks Ticket Sales Assistant. He is a native of upstate New York, and is a 2016 graduate of Penn State University Abington with a degree in Business Management. Ted enjoys watching and playing sports, specifically baseball, which he played four seasons at Penn State Abington. His favorite teams include the New York Yankees and New York Jets. Ted is eager to pursue a career in sports, and is very excited for the opportunity with the Blue Rocks.

Josh Schleifer starts his first season as a Wilmington Blue Rocks Ticket Sales Assistant. Hailing from Newark, DE, Josh graduated from Neumann University in the Spring of 2016 with a Masters degree in Sports Management. He was a Hockey Operations Intern at Ed Snider Youth Hockey in Philadelphia in the spring of 2015 and a Ticket & Fan Services Intern at the Philadelphia Eagles in the fall of 2015. He is an avid USC Trojans Football fan. Josh says he is excited to be a part of the Blue Rocks staff for the 25th Anniversary Season.

Caitlin Kirrane, 24, was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Bridgewater State University with a degree in Graphic Design. Kirrane loves the Boston Red Sox, Bruins and the New England Patriots. She is a former Irish Dancer, softball player and recently picked up golf. Kirrane found a love for working in the minor leagues initially with the Brockton Rox baseball organization and then moved on to the Hudson Valley Renegades, the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. One of her personal goals is to visit every baseball stadium in the United States. She says she's looking forward to her time at Frawley Stadium. 

Megan Teat is 23-years-old and was born and raised in Delaware. She graduated from Wilmington University with a B.S. in Media Design and Photography, specifically in sports. She hopes to go back for her masters in Sports Management soon. Teat is a former cheerleader and gymnast and a big soccer fan - the Philadelphia Union, her beloved boys in blue, are her favorite team. Teat was a former cast member of Walt Disney World and is obsessed with all things Disney. In her free time Teat loves to travel, go to the beach and spend time with family and friends. She says she is very excited to be a part of the team here at the Blue Rocks.
