Fort Worth, Texas
As his tenure comes to an end on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 the Texas League clubs bid a fond farewell to outgoing President Tom Kayser.
Tom's 25-year term as League President was one of incredible growth in numerous ways. The facilities, ownerships and prestige of the League have been enhanced by President Kayser's tenure and leadership. His imprint upon the League and its' clubs will live long after his retirement, and the League will be forever grateful for the skills, dedication and passion he brought to the league and to our great Game.
"Tom has done an outstanding job in his tenure as Texas League President. His contributions are endless and his diligence in his daily work speaks for itself. He has written books on the success of the league and has gathered many more items/articles to preserve the history of the league. The Texas League has great new ballparks and outstanding working relationships among the owners, players and umpires because of his leadership. I wish Tom great success with his future plans." Monty Hoppel, Midland Rock Hounds General Manager
"Tom has been steady as a rock through the years, he has represented our league with dignity and class." Ken Schrom, Corpus Christi Hooks President
"It has been a real pleasure to work with Tom the past 25 years. He has been a great leader and has been at the helm, in a time, when the Texas League is stronger than it has ever been. I think a lot of credit for that goes to Tom. We are going to miss him in San Antonio and wish him all the best!" Burl Yarbrough, San Antonio Missions President
Thanks once again Tom. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten!
