With one out in the top of the fourth inning, MLB.com's 15th-ranked overall prospect opened the scoring by driving a pitch from Rockies No. 7 prospectRyan Castellani over the center-field wall.

Devers also went yard on the first pitch he saw to lead off the second in a 6-5 loss to Reading on Saturday.

The native of the Dominican Republic factored into Portland's five-run sixth. Devers walked with one out and scored four batters later on Joseph Monge's double as the Sea Dogs sent nine batters to the plate.

Nick Longhi, the ninth-ranked Red Sox prospect, had a two-run double. 
Boston's No. 28 prospect Trey Ball (1-1) scattered four hits and two walks while striking out six in six innings. 
Jake Cosart worked around four walks with three strikeouts in 1 2/3 hitless frames. Josh Smith retired the final five batters in order
