(Billings) - The Owlz allowed another big inning as the Billings Mustangs, scored six runs in the third inning, beating the Owlz, 8-4, on Monday night at Dehler Park in Billings, Montana. 
Billings' starting pitcher Luis Alecis struck out a career-high 11 Owlz' hitters while holding the Owlz to just one run over seven innings of work. The Mustangs struck first, scoring a run in the second inning on a two-out single from Urwin Juaquin. 

The Owlz wasted little time tying the game in the third inning. Mario Sanjur started the frame by hitting a single to left. After Johan Sala walked, Nonie Williams hit into a fielder's choice, scoring Sanjur on an error, tying the game at one.
The big inning hurt the Owlz once again as the Mustangs batted 10 times in the fourth inning. Billings opened the inning with six straight hits and took the lead back on a Michael Spooner RBI single. Zeke White then singled in another run, upping the lead to 3-1. Nadir Latifi then doubled in three more runs before a wild pitch capped off the inning.
Urwin Juaquin hit a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Spooner to make it an 8-1 Mustangs' lead. The Owlz tried to battle back, scoring two runs in the eighth on two RBI singles from Francisco Del Valle and Mitch Spires. Kiki Menendez made it an 8-4 game with a solo shot in the ninth but the Owlz would get no closer, losing 8-4. Luis Alecis (2-2) earned the win while Cody Eckerson (0-2) was charged with the loss.
