  • Muckdogs-Marlins Extend Affiliation Agreement Through 2016

    The Batavia Muckdogs and Miami Marlins today announced a two-year extension of their Player Development Contract through at least the 2016 season. A joint announcement was made by Marlins Farm Director Brian Chattin and Brian Paris, President of the Genesee County Baseball Club, the non-for-profit that owns the Batavia Muckdogs Franchise.     On Friday, August 22nd, the Batavia Muckdogs need your help in breaking Dwyer Stadium's 75 year old attendance record. When baseball came to Batavia in 1939, 3,000 fans attended the first game at what was known at the time as State Street Park.     Due to a tremendous response from the community, the Muckdogs 2014 Youth Baseball Camp held on August 7th and 8th is completely filled up and registration is now closed.
