08/30/2010 5:26 PM ET

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Round Rock Express Baseball announced the club's 2011 schedule Monday. The 144-game schedule features 72 home dates, starting with a season-opening eight-game home stand. Game times will be announced later this year.

The 2011 season begins Thursday, April 7, as the Express open a four-game series against the Iowa Cubs at The Dell Diamond. That home stand concludes with a four-game series against the Omaha Royals. Different from the 2010 schedule, the season-opening home stand is one of only two eight-game home stands all season - the other is Aug. 3-10. The Express also have one 12-game home stand May 19-30. All other home stands will be single four-game series.

Round Rock plays 10 home Friday night games, including three each in the months of May and July. The Express conclude a four-game series Sunday, July 3, against the Nashville Sounds with the annual postgame Independence Day celebration. In all, the Express will be at The Dell Diamond during 13 weekends, including Memorial Day Weekend (May 27-30) and Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 2-5). The 2011 Triple-A All-Star Game is Wednesday, July 13, at Salt Lake City.
