Jeff Fisher & Friends Softball Game, "The Final Farewell," Set For Saturday, June 18th At Greer Stadium05/12/2011 11:00 AM ET
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Comcast proudly announces the 11th Annual Comcast "Jeff Fisher & Friends" Charity Softball Game is set for Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Greer Stadium. The final farewell game will give fans an opportunity to show their support for their popular and beloved coach. The event will benefit the Nashville Children's Alliance, Mercy Ministries, Catch-A-Dream, InterFACE Ministries, The American Freedom Foundation and several other local charities.
Jeff will be joined by: Pro-Bowl NFL Cornerback, Cortland Finnegan; Pro-Bowl NFL Wide receiver, Marc Mariani; NFL Defensive Lineman, Dave Ball; NFL Defensive, Lineman Jovan Haye; NFL Quarterback, Chris Simms; Former NFL Running Back, Eddie George; Former NFL Safety, Blaine Bishop; Former NFL Offensive Lineman Brad Hopkins; Former NFL Linebacker, Dennis Stallings; Former NFL Wide Receiver, Chris Sanders; Former NFL Wide Receiver, Kevin Dyson; Predators Assistant Coach, Brent Peterson; Predators Play-by-play announcer, Pete Webber; and Contemporary Christian Singer, Michael W. Smith. Additional players will be announced in the coming days.
"This final game is an opportunity for everyone in Tennessee to say 'Thank you' to Coach Fisher for all that he has done to give back to the community over the years while raising money for several worthy charities," states John Gauder, Market Vice-President, Comcast Cable.
Nashville Sounds general manager Brad Tammen adds: "The game is always a night of family fun and festivities but this last event is a perfect way for fans to honor Jeff for all that he has done over the years for the community."
Jeff Fisher's overall softball game record is 8-1-1 over NFL Special Teams Coach, Alan "Music City Miracle" Lowry.
Admission is $10.00 for General Admission and $15.00 for Reserved Seats. In addition, the game has a Kids' ticket, 12 and under, for $6.00. A "Farewell" VIP addition has been added to the game this year. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $100 per person for the VIP Reception on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Houston Station from 6:00-8:30 as well as a "Friends of Fisher" event package which includes two VIP Reception tickets, two VIP game tickets, 2 VIP post-game reception tickets as well as ten general admission tickets for the game for $500.00. The Fun Zone, supported by Tum-E Yummies is located at the main gate of Greer Stadium. It is packed with brand new games including a trampoline bounce, a velcro wall, an inflatable jump slide and a speed pitch. The Fun Zone is primarily geared toward children ages 12 and under. However, the speed pitch is open to fans of all ages. The inflatable jump slide is free and the rest of the games charge a nominal fee. The Fun Zone remains open from the time gates open until the end of the 7th inning.
