Bulls vs. PawSox

The Bulls head north to Pawtucket to take on the Red Sox as part of their four city, 14-game road trip. This will be the first series away from the International League South division for the Bulls this year. Durham and Pawtucket will play each other a total of eight times this season, four games in Pawtucket and four games at the DBAP later in May. Last season the two teams played one another a total of eight times, with the Bulls holding a 3-5 mark against the Triple-A affiliate of the Red Sox. The team last visited Rhode Island in July of last year, when they split the series with the Paw Sox, two games apiece.

Three to See

There are several players on the Paw Sox team that are worth paying attention to during the four game set. Here are three players that might play a factor in the series against Durham.

INF Mauro Gomez - Last year, Gomez played for the Gwinnett Braves where he was among the league leaders in several categories. The right-handed slugger finished the year with a.304 average which ranked him 10th in the league, and with 24 home runs which placed him third in the IL.

3B Will Middlebrooks - Middlebrooks entered the 2012 season as the number one prospect in the Red Sox organization according to Baseball America. Originally drafted in the 5th Round of the 2007 June Draft, Middlebrooks had a breakout year last season. He was named the best hitting prospect in the Eastern League last season, played in the Futures Game and was named an EL midseason All-Star.

RHP Ross Ohlendorf - The former 4th round draft pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks has had a great start to the season. Ohlendorf has made two starts so far this season and has a record of 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA. He was named the International League Player of the Week for the week of April 9th- 16th.
