Bell, Express Shutout New Orleans 4-0 07/01/2012 11:20 PM ETROUND ROCK, TEXAS – Round Rock Starter Chad Bell moved to 2-0 at the Triple-A level with six shutout innings as the E-Train shutout the New Orleans Zephyrs 4-0 in Sunday night’s Pacific Coast League action. Round Rock (38-46) shut out New Orleans (43-41) for the second time this season, their fourth on the year. Bell (2-0), who allowed just four this and two walks to go along with two strikeouts, got all the run support he would need in the first inning when Mike Bianucci drove in Julio Borbon with an RBI single. Borbon singled to lead off the game and advanced to second on a Luis Hernandez sacrifice bunt. The Express added another run in the bottom of the fifth when Yangervis Solarte walked, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on a throwing error by Zephyrs third baseman Nick Green. Round Rock added two more runs late in the game. Joey Butler smacked a one-out solo home run to left in the bottom of the seventh and Borbon singled and scored on a fielding error by New Orleans second baseman Gil Velazquez in the eighth. Omar Poveda (0-1) picked up the loss for the Zephyrs in his first Triple-A start of the year. He threw six and one-third innings and gave up three runs—two earned—on three hits and three walks and struck out five. Borbon led the way for the Express with his second consecutive two-hit game. He also scored twice. Chris Coghlan paced New Orleans with a two-hit night and drew a walk.
