Chris Parmelee homered twice and Wilkin Ramirez slugged a go-ahead solo shot in the 12th inning as Rochester outlasted Columbus, 10-8. Brian Dinkelman and Eduardo Escobar had three hits apiece for the Red Wings, while Jason Donald went 5-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Clippers. Danny Worth homered and drove in five runs to power Toledo past visiting Louisville, 7-3. Rehabbing Tigers left-hander Drew Smyly allowed two hits over three scoreless innings for the Mud Hens, who got a solo blast from Andy Dirks. Reds No. 5 prospect Neftali Soto was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Bats. John Suomi and Andres Blanco each collected three hits, two RBIs and a run scored, leading Lehigh Valley to an 8-6 win at Syracuse. Jason Pridie chipped in two hits, including a solo homer, and scored twice for the IronPigs. Jesus Valdez homered, drove in four runs and fell a triple shy of the cycle in a losing cause. Randall Delgado struck out 10 and gave up one run on five hits over six innings, helping Gwinnett defeat Charlotte, 7-2. Felix Pie and Josh Wilson both had three hits and three RBIs for the Braves, while Brian Bruney tossed a scoreless inning in a rehab start for the Knights. Zach Lutz hit his second homer of the game in the 11th inning to give Buffalo a 5-4 road win over Indianapolis. Josh Satin added a two-run shot for the Bisons, while the Indians got a pair of doubles and three RBIs from Brandon Boggs. Zach Stewart struck out eight over five solid innings as Pawtucket shut down Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 4-2. Jason Repko ripped a two-run homer and Mauro Gomez contributed two hits and an RBI for the PawSox. Yankees right fielder Darnell McDonald homered against his former team. Cesar Ramos, a 2005 first-round Draft pick, gave up two hits over a season-high 5 2/3 innings as Durham blanked Norfolk, 1-0. Chris Gimenez picked up a pair of hits and drove in the Bulls' lone run, while Blake Davis had two of the Tides' three hits. Barry Enright pitched a three-hitter for his first career shutout as Salt Lake whipped Las Vegas, 8-0. Ed Lucas smacked a solo homer, scored three times and fell a triple shy of the cycle for the Bees, who got two RBIs from Ryan Langerhans. Ricardo Nanita's double was the 51s' only extra-base hit. Tom Koehler fanned seven over six solid innings for his fourth win in five decisions as New Orleans beat visiting Iowa, 5-3. Batterymate Cole Armstrong cranked a two-run homer for the Zephyrs, while Dave Sappelt went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored for the I-Cubs. A's No. 5 prospect Grant Green homered and drove in four runs out of the leadoff spot, powering visiting Sacramento an 11-8 triumph over Reno. Josh Donaldson and No. 6 prospect Derek Norris also went yard for the River Cats, while Mike Jacobs and Josh Bell both homered and had two RBIs for the Aces. Brandon Wood ripped a grand slam as Colorado Springs pulled away for a 9-4 victory over Fresno in the completion of a suspended game. Chad Tracy and Wil Nieves had three hits apiece for the Sky Sox, while Ryan Lollis and Hector Sanchez delivered RBI singles for the Grizzlies. Jackson Williams drove in four runs and came within a triple of hitting for the cycle as Fresno topped Colorado Springs, 7-3, in the regularly scheduled game. Giants No. 8 prospect Conor Gillaspie also homered and Tyler LaTorre scored three times for the Grizzlies. Brendan Harris went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a run scored in a losing cause. Brewers No. 15 prospect Khris Davis hit his first Triple-A homer, a three-run shot, to power Nashville to a 9-5 win over visiting Albuquerque. Humberto Quintero drove in two runs for the Sounds, while Jerry Sands blasted his fourth homer in five games for the Isotopes. Tony Abreu homered, drove in five runs and fell a triple shy of the cycle in Omaha's 12-5 victory at Oklahoma City. Royals No. 2 prospect Wil Myers contributed his Minor League-leading 33th longball and four RBIs for the Storm Chasers, while Brad Snyder and Mike Hessman hit two-run shots for the RedHawks. Joey Butler went 2-for-3 with a homer, four RBIs and a pair of walks to lead Round Rock past Memphis, 10-4. Brad Nelson and Yangervis Solarte also went deep for the Express, while Steven Hill was 3-for-5 and scored a run for the Redbirds. Carlos Triunfel came through with a two-out two-run single in the top of the ninth inning, sending Tacoma past Tucson, 3-2. Rainiers starter D.J. Mitchell gave up a pair of unearned runs on five hits over seven innings, while Padres No. 4 prospect Jedd Gyorko doubled twice, walked and scored a run in a losing effort. |
