Express announce scoreboard upgrade 11/06/2012 2:28 PM ET
Round Rock Express
The Round Rock Express have contracted with Daktronics (Nasdaq - DAKT) of Brookings, S.D., to design, manufacture and install an integrated light-emitting diode (LED) video display system at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas. The main HD video display in left-center field will measure 36 feet tall by 55 feet wide, and feature 15 millimeter line spacing. Two additional LED outfield fence displays will each measure six feet tall by more than 99 feet wide, and feature 26 millimeter line spacing. "We are very happy to work with Daktronics on the new Dell Diamond video scoreboard," Express owner and CEO, Reid Ryan, said. "Daktronics is the industry leader in high-definition, LED video displays, and the new display will only add to a great atmosphere that makes Dell Diamond one of the best stadiums in Minor League Baseball." The main display is capable of showing one large image to highlight live video and instant replays. It can also be divided into separate windows to show a variety of vivid graphics, colorful animations, up-to-the-minute statistics, scoring information and sponsor advertisements, all with outstanding brightness and wide-angle visibility. The two outfield fence displays will provide the opportunity to showcase sponsors throughout events, and provide up-to-the-minute statistics and game information. All displays incorporate excellent image clarity and contrast, multiple levels of protection from the elements, and robust cabinet design and ventilation system. "The Round Rock Express and Ryan-Sanders baseball have given Daktronics a great opportunity to provide an HD video display for the Dell Diamond," said Dan Fjeldheim, Daktronics sales representative. "We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the organizations, and we look forward to enhancing the game-day experience for the Express fans."
