Greeneville unveils new logo, uniforms 01/29/2013 2:00 PM ETGreeneville Astros
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Greeneville Astros officially revealed the club's new uniforms, logos and color schemes for the 2013 season at a Launch Party held today at Pioneer Park. Astros fans in attendance witnessed the club reveal a blue and orange color scheme, the same colors that will be worn by the Houston Astros.
Merchandise sales The club's new merchandise will also be made available for purchase online at greenevilleastros.com in the near future.
Logo, hat and uniform combinations
The Astros home uniforms will be white with blue lettering and orange piping. The road uniforms will feature an orange jersey with blue lettering and gray pants with blue piping. The club will also have a blue batting practice top with rainbow print down the side of the jersey.
Tex and Tess return as mascots The Greeneville Astros are the Appalachian League affiliate of the Houston Astros. The 2013 season will begin on June 20 at Bluefield and the club's home opener will be on Sunday, June 23 at 7:00pm against the defending champion Elizabethton Twins. Options to renew and purchase new season tickets are now available at the Astros Administrative office located at Pioneer Park on the campus of Tusculum College.
