Bundy got the start and allowed an unearned run on one hit and two walks in two innings, while Gausman struck out three and gave up two hits over three scoreless frames. Bundy has yet to allow an earned run over five Grapefruit League innings; Gausman has yielded two in 7 2/3 frames for a 2.35 ERA.

"I was thinking about going out there, keeping the ball low, throwing a lot of strikes," Fernandez told MLB.com. "Obviously, that's a very good team that we're facing." Fernandez, one of the best pitchers in the Minors in 2012 and currently ranked as MLB.com's No. 7 prospect, is likely to begin '13 at Double-A Jacksonville.
