The Houston Astros have set the initial 2013 Greeneville Astros Opening Day roster. The roster, currently consisting of 22 players, is subject to change even after Appalachian League play begins on June 20.

The Greeneville Astros have released their 2013 promotional schedule. With fireworks nights, theme nights, promotions and fun giveaways, the Astros will be offering fans a full slate of entertainment to go along with an exciting game schedule beginning with the club's home opener on June 23. Fans will be able to purchase single game tickets from the box office at Pioneer Park beginning Monday, June 3 at 10:00am.

Greeneville Astros individual game tickets, for all thirty-four home games at Pioneer Park, will go on sale online on Tuesday, May 28 at 10:00am. Tickets will only be available online at www.greenevilleastros.com, and will not be available in the box office until Monday, June 3.

Astros' fans in attendance witnessed the club reveal a blue and orange color scheme, the same colors that will be worn by the Houston Astros.

Due to extreme winter weather, the Greeneville Astros postponed their Launch Party to reveal the club's new uniforms, logos, color schemes and mascots for the 2013 season. Originally scheduled for Friday, the event has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 29 at Pioneer Park. Admission to the party is free and the stadium doors will open at 12:00pm.

The Houston Astros have announced the 2013 field staff for the Greeneville Astros. The club will be led by Josh Bonifay, who will be returning to Greeneville as the manager after previously serving as the team's hitting coach in 2011. Joining Bonifay's staff will be Josh Miller (pitching coach), Cesar Cedeno (hitting coach) and Corey O'Brien (athletic trainer).

Greeneville Astros Jean Batista and Brian Blasik have been selected to the 2012 Appalachian League All Star Team. Batista, who was promoted to the Class A Tri-City ValleyCats on August 15, was named the league's All Star shortstop while Blasik was chosen as the All Star utility infielder.
