Sky Sox Belt Five Home Runs in 13-8 Win

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox (28-18) clubbed five home runs in a 13-8 win over the Fresno Grizzlies (27-22) on Fireworks Night at Security Service Field. The win puts the team 10 games over .500 and a half-game up on the Tacoma Rainiers for first place in the Pacific Northern division.

Troy Tulowitzki & Jason Giambi To Rehab With Sky Sox

The Colorado Rockies announced today that All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and former AL MVP Jason Giambi will continue their rehabilitation assignment with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox starting tomorrow, Wednesday, August 29. Both Major Leaguers are scheduled to play for the Sky Sox against the Sacramento River Cats (Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics) in the team's 6:05 PM start at Security Service Field. The length of their assignment with the Sky Sox will be determined by a day-to-day evaluation. The Sox are in the midst of their final home stand of the season with just seven games left to play in the regular season. Tulowitzki has been on the disabled list since May 31 with a groin injury and Giambi is on the mend from a viral infection and has been out since July 21.
