Crawford was the Rays' second-round pick in the 1999 MLB Draft out of Jefferson Davis High School in Houston after growing up just minutes from the future site of Houston's Minute Maid Park... Crawford was an All-Star in 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2010, won a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger Award in 2010 and led the American League in stolen bases four times (2003, 2004, 2006, 2007)... in the Minors, he was voted the International League's Rookie of the Year in 2002 with Triple-A Durham... set the modern-era record for stolen bases in a single game when he stole six on May 3, 2009... was voted the MVP of the 2009 MLB All-Star Game... finished his career as the Rays' all-time leader in at bats, plate appearances, RBIs, runs scored, hits, doubles, triples, strikeouts, stolen bases, and singles and also owns Tampa Bay's franchise record for single-season stolen bases (60, in 2009)...
