Graduated from Kyoto Siesho High School...pitched for Yokohama in the Japanese Central League between 1994 and 1998...hobbies are fishing and driving...Was mentioned in the March 16, 2003 (Season 14) episode of The Simpsons entitled C.E.D'Oh! when Bart Simpson was playing baseball and claimed to be Tomo...is the fourth Japanese player to don a Brewers uniform...other three include pitchers Hideo Nomo (1999), Takahito Nomura (2002) and Mac Suzuki (2001)...hosted 15 Japanese children for the annual "Tomo Ohka Charity Tour" at Miller Park...the tour was started in 2001 as a way to give back to young people in orphanages in his native Japan.
